# Terms of use

Last updated: 10 September 2026

These terms apply when you access or use the WorldSalaries website. Do not use the site unless you agree with them.

## Estimates are for general information

The calculators give estimates based on the salary, location and options you enter. They do not give tax, legal, financial or payroll advice. They do not replace a payslip, tax return, official assessment or advice from a qualified professional. Tax rules and your circumstances can change. Check the tax year, included deductions, calculation notes and official sources before you use a result. You are responsible for decisions you make from the information on this site.

## Permitted use

You may use the site for lawful personal or business research. Do not interfere with the site, bypass security controls, introduce harmful code, scrape it in a way that harms the service, or use its content to mislead another person.

## Content and availability

The site and its original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third parties retain their rights to their names and materials. We may correct, change, suspend or remove content or features without notice. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

## Third-party services and links

The site links to official sources and other third-party services. It may also show advertising supplied by Raptive and its partners. We do not control third-party services or their privacy practices. Read their terms and privacy notices before using them.

## Consent to data collection

These terms include our [Privacy policy](https://worldsalaries.org/privacy). It explains how WorldSalaries and the providers it uses collect and use data when you use the site. You consent to that collection and use, subject to the opt-out instructions in the policy.

## Binding arbitration

To the extent allowed by law, you and WorldSalaries agree to resolve a dispute related to the site or these terms through individual binding arbitration instead of a court. You can still bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. Either side can also ask a court to stop the infringement or misuse of intellectual property rights.

Email [support@worldsalaries.com](mailto:support@worldsalaries.com) before you start arbitration. Include your contact information, the facts, the legal claim and the result you want. Both sides will try for 30 days to resolve the dispute. JAMS will conduct the process under the rules that apply to the claim. You can choose a remote hearing, written submissions or a place agreed by both sides.

The Federal Arbitration Act applies to this section. You and WorldSalaries waive a jury trial and agree that claims must proceed only on an individual basis, not as a class or representative action. The arbitrator can award the same individual relief as a court, and the award is final and binding. These duties survive the end of your use of the site. An invalid part will be removed while the remaining parts continue to apply.

## Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, you cannot hold WorldSalaries or its providers responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss caused when you use the site or cannot use it. This includes lost profits, revenue, data, use or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

## Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The other parts continue to apply when one part is not enforceable, and a failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. We may update these terms on this page. The date at the top shows the latest update. Your continued use of the site after a change means that you accept the updated terms.
