How to compare your offers
Enter each salary, choose its pay period and select the options that apply to you. You can compare two countries or two salaries in the same country. The results show what you keep before living costs.
Comparison assumptions and exchange rates
Each offer is calculated as if you lived and worked in that country for the full tax year. Your tax bill may be different if you move during the year or owe tax in more than one country. Moving costs and living costs are not included.
We calculate deductions in each country's own currency, then convert offer B's annual take-home pay into offer A's currency. Both offers use their own tax year. An exchange rate is only needed when the currencies differ.
Use a rate from your bank or another currency provider and enter its date and source. To try a possible future rate, describe it as an example rate. Allow separately for exchange fees, and remember that a change in the rate will change the comparison.

- Tax class I with zero child tax allowances. Care-insurance child counts do not set your child tax allowance.
- Health insurance uses the announced 2.9% average additional rate. Your fund can charge a different rate.
- The estimate uses annual wage tax and annual contribution ceilings. Monthly and weekly figures are averages. They do not calculate an exact payslip or final tax return.
- Saxony and salaries of €24,000 or less are not covered, except zero pay as a zero-deduction example.
- Church tax uses payroll rates only. Tax-return relief and caps are not included. Special church charges are also excluded.

- Income tax is an annual amount to budget for. It is not a monthly salary deduction. IRAS payment dates and GIRO instalments can differ.
- CPF uses 2026 monthly rules. Employee cents are dropped each month. Fractional monthly wages use the exact annual split, so actual payslips can differ.
- Earned Income Relief is S$1000.00. Chargeable income after this relief and employee CPF Relief is S$47000.00.
- No other personal reliefs, rebates or self-help group deductions are included.

- Income after annual salaries tax and employee MPF. Set money aside for tax; the monthly average is not the amount paid into your bank account.
